The Brewery Appoints New Executive Chef

Thomas Gore has been appointed Executive Chef at London venue The Brewery.

The new Executive Chef’s culinary experience includes roles at a number of event caterers, most recently as Executive Chef at The Recipe having moved to The Recipe after holding an Executive Chef role at Dish. His previous experience also consists of Taste Catering, Digby Trout as well as a period of employment in Sydney.

Gore will bring his wealth of knowledge and gastronomic skills to the award winning catering team at the venue, while being responsible for overseeing a team of ten chefs. His role includes designing menus, and creating dishes for a range of prestigious events, from breakfast boardroom meetings of 40 people, high profile conferences for up to 1000 delegates to celebrity studded three course awards dinners for 600 guests.

Thomas Gore, Executive Chef at The Brewery, commented: "I am really looking forward to widening my skills by working at The Brewery and passing on my experience to the rest of the catering team. The venue already possesses a respected reputation for catering within the events industry, which many venues with in-house caterers fail to achieve. I aim to strengthen this reputation further, winning more awards, staying up to date with food trends, and creating a distinctive offering suitable for the wide range of high profile events The Brewery hosts."

Maria Duddin, Managing Director, The Brewery added: "Thomas is bringing to The Brewery a wealth of knowledge, creativity and experience. I am really looking forward to seeing the impact of these skills on our award winning catering, taking it to the next level of gastronomy."

We're The Venue Event Team Of The Year !

On Friday 18th November, a selection of The Brewery's finest set sail for the Eventia Awards at The Hilton Park Lane in search of the coveted Eventia Event Team of The Year Award. Our entry had made it through the stringent judging process to be one of the 4 nominees on the evening.

The competition was extremely tough with the other nominees in the category being Lords, The Natural History Museum and The Saatchi Gallery. However we prevailed by being able to demonstrate the number of events our team have organised and managed over the last year and how the team has performed in making all of these events successful.

We have been very lucky in the last year to have hosted some amazing events; the three highlighted in this entry were the Football League Awards, Carsonified FOWD and Bibendum EC1 which were all amazing events but very different showing the flexibility of the team to manage a variety of events to an extremely high standard.

We are very proud to have been recognised for all the hard work that we have put into all the events hosted here in the last year and can't wait to continue this awards winning ethos.
